About Jermaine “Jelly” Simpson

Jermaine Simpson is a 2002 graduate from Virginia State University. After graduating Jermaine received an opportunity to try out with the New York Jets, but that was short lived after suffering a knee injury causing him to come back to Virginia to further his education. While pursuing his Master’s Degree at VCU, Jermaine and VSU grad Ronnie Neal took their love for cultivating events and connecting people and they founded Uplift Entertainment, a promotional group catering towards events in Richmond and DC area. Later in early 2018, Jermaine and wife Natalie Simpson created Uplift Clothing Apparel, which is a fun and exciting clothing brand based on 90’s and 2000’s TV shows and movies with a touch of school spirit.
